Kids were squirrelly today. I hope this isn't a sign of the whole year. They were really chatty and not their usual reserved & respectful selves that I've seen in the past.
I watched our staff battle this all day long. Not sure if it was first day jitters on the part of the students or something else? Time will tell. As for me, my approach is to set a high standard and expect students to honor that. If they don't then school won't be nearly as fun as it could and learning will suffer.
Let's hope for a better day tomorrow.
